Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Government today transferred intelligence chief AR Anuradha and appointed Vigilance and Enforcement additional DG. According to reports, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was reportedly unhappy with Anuradha for failing to alert the Government about the cash-for-vote scam.
The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday transferred intelligence chief AR Anuradha and appointed AB Venkateswara Rao as Additional DGP, Intelligence. Anuradha is posted as DG, Vigilance and Enforcement, according to a Government Order (GO) issued by Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao.
The transfer of Anuradha, from the key post handling intelligence, was being speculated for long after the cash-for-vote controversy came to light. Venkateswara Rao had been holding the post of Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada. D Gautam Sawang is posted as Vijayawada Police Commissioner.
