Jammu & Kashmir : #Mehbooba Mufti to call #PDP meet soon to decide on next government 

#Kashmir\ #SRINAGAR : The People’s Democratic Party on Friday said its chief Mehbooba Mufti will call a meeting of its legislators and officials “very soon” to discuss government formation in Jammu & Kashmir.

Top PDP functionary Naeem Akhtar told reporters, “The party workers should not feel embarrassed over the delay in government formation. The party is committed to take forward the agenda of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Mehbooba will call a meeting of the MLAs and leaders in the coming days and take a call on formation of the government.”

Akhtar said this after attending the fateh-khawani (prayer for the departed) along with Mehbooba, party MLAs, officials and workers at the grave of Sayeed in Dara Shikoh garden in Bijbehara in south Kashmir on the first Friday since his death.

Akhtar, a top party official, said, “The PDP will be strengthened and the uncertainty over government formation will also come to an end … We’re all mourning the death of our leader and the party has not yet talked on government formation. All party members and Mehbooba-ji will talk shortly and a proper decision will be taken.”

He added, “The media will first to come to know about the decision that will be taken in the meeting.”
