#Mumbai: Police on Tuesday booked Rahul Singh, boyfriend of the deceased TV actor Pratyusha Banerjee, for abetment of suicide and assault case.
The police filed the case based on the statement recorded by family and friends of the former Balika Vadhu star.
According to news agency ANI, Singh has been booked under Sections 306 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.
He was earlier quizzed extensively by a team of the Mumbai Police. Singh was later hospitalised after he complained of chest pain and breathlessness.
Best known for playing the lead character of Anandi on TV show Balika Vadhu, had committed suicide at the age of 24 on 1 April.
Originally from #Jharkhand, #Pratyusha had appeared on reality show #BiggBoss. More recently, she had also appeared on Sony TV’s reality show Power Couple.
The actor was also in news last year after she complained of harassment by bank’s recovery agent.
