Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal led his first Cabinet meeting & allocated portfolio 

#Guwahati : Newly elect Assam CM Sri Sarbananda Sonowal led a his first Cabinet meeting  in Brahmputra guest house Guwahati,  an important development the Cabinet in its first meeting decided to close all check gates operating in the state to put an end to check gate corruption. Decision was also taken to end the process of oral test for the appointment of Fourth Grade employees. Decision was also taken to limit size of Chief Minister’s convoy.

Rihon Daimari- PHE, Food and Civil Supplies

Naba Doley (Independent Charge) – Panchayat and Rural development, Sports

Pallab Lochan Das (Independent Charge) – Labour and Employment, Tea tribe welfare and Revenue
