Britney Spears strips off to bejewelled lingerie as she opens the show at Billboard Music Awards

The former Disney star was the first performer of the show, opening her greatest hits medley with 2013 hit Work Bitch.

The fully choreographed routine then moved to Womanizer, then a major throwback to I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, lesser known song Breathe on Me, Slave 4 U and the iconic tune Toxic.

But Ms Spears had already proved she’s not that innocent as she stepped onto the red carpet, as the recipient of the Millennium Award, earlier in the evening.

And the Vegas resident performer showed she was the ultimate showgirl in a lace caped ensemble, paired with knee-high bondage inspired boots.

The blonde beauty’s lace bodysuit showed plenty of skin, though as Britney flaunts her incredible body all over Instagram it’s really not a bad thing.

The bejewelled outfit covered the icon’s chest, though the plunging design threatened to showcase her assets.

But it seems the designer didn’t have enough material for the lower half, as the bottom section looked to have a hole in either side.

Of course, it was actually part of the piece but the gap in the fabric meant the chart-topper flashed her underwear as well as her lithe legs.

The mother-of-two looked like she’d stepped straight off the plane from a tropical weekend away as her entire body was bronzed and perfectly golden.

And her long locks looked fresh from the beach, shining in the Las Vegas sun.

Britney chose strappy knee-high boots, giving a bondage-inspired feel to the flashy ensemble.

The heels only helped to show off her long legs and summer tan, and added an hint of edginess to the overall look.

The 34-year-old was at the annual event to perform a medley of hits as well as take home the Millennium Award.

The special award was introduced in 2011 but has only been handed out three times, including this year to Britney.

The previous recipients are Beyonce in 2011 and Whitney Houston in 2012, though it was accepted by her late daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
