#NewYark : As the quirkiest celeb night of the year dawned at the MET gala, it was all latex, steel and silver on the red carpet which had the stars turning up in quirky costumes keeping in line the Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology theme. From Beyonce and Katy Perry in latex gowns to Zayn Malik and Kim Kardashian in steel, the MET gala was much fashionable and futuristic than one ever seen in sci-fi films. Have a look at who wore what for the crazy night…Beyonce was a delight in a peach latex gown, which highlighted her curves like second skin. The diva looked a million bucks in the figure-clinging Givenchy mermaid gown with pearl embellishments adding to its beauty. On the other hand, another singing sensation, Zayn Malik and girlfriend Gigi Hadid complimented each other in steel as the two descended the red carpet with quirky add-ons. While Zayn wore a full-length hand armour over his tuxedo, Gigi looked pretty in a studded grey gown which she complimented with steel knuckles to match her man.

Katy Perry was the biggest head-turner at the MET gala as she arrived at the do in a latex black gown with gold keys, chains and similar stuff dangling here and there. The Prada velvet gown was quite a change from the silver and latex that seemed to be the highlight of the evening. With a heavy bun over her head and gothic make-up, Katy was hardly recognizable in the look.

Kim Kardashian was dressed in a sexy armour steel dress with a thigh-high slit. The socialite rocked the heated up robotic Balmain look with combed hair and gothic eye make-up and diamond ear cuff. Giving her company in an equally glitzy jacket and torn jeans, Kanye West matched up to her wild quotient by wearing ice-blue lenses for the gala. Sister Kylie Jenner wore a similar but racier beaded Balmain dress which left little to the imagination of the guests, courtesy the curious pattern. On the other hand, supermodel Kendall Jenner was a delight in quirky sheer patterned Versace gown, which kept the onlookers guessing.

Madonna was one of the raciest celebs at the MET gala as she arrived in a very revealing Givenchy costume, which was barely able to hide her modesty. With a mang tika adorning her forehead and thigh-high boots, the legendary singer gave quite an eyeful to those around. Giving her company was Lady Gaga in a glittery blue monokini which she paired with a steel patterned jacket. However, what was more eye-catching was her sky-high boots, which made the onlookers insecure.

Co-host of the evening, Taylor Swift carved out a pretty picture at the MET gala in a short Louis Vuitton dress in silver, highlighting her slender frame. Complimented with knee-high strappy heels and black lips, Taylor didn’t overdo the futuristic theme making it a perfect getup. On the other hand, Rita Ora was the stunner of the evening in a metallic feather gown by Vera Wang. The diva looked heavenly in the racy attire which also threw light on her various tattoos that adorned her back.
