London, Wales and parts of northern England will be basking in sunshine thanks to a south-easterly wind that will bring the warmer weather.
The average temperature for this time of year is around 16C, so this weekend’s Mediterranean temperatures come as a pleasant surprise.

Achmelvich beach, in WesterRoss on the west coast of Scotland, features crystal-clear waters thanks to it’s powdery sand.
