NDA Govt. has full confidence in Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian: Arun Jaitley

#NewDelhi :  Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Responding to BJP MP Subramanian Swamy’s attack on Arvind Subramanian, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the government had full confidence in him and his advice was of great value.

Arun Jaitley said politicians should be disciplined in making attacks on officials whose offices constrain them from responding.

Mr Arun Jaitley also denied the suggestion that the government and the BJP did not defend RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan in the face of  Subramanian Swamy’s attacks.

The BJP and the government did not concur with Mr Subramanian  Swamy on his comments about RBI Chief  Mr Raghuram  Rajan, he added.

Meanwhile, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad defended Mr. Jaitley himself, saying the latter’s integrity and transparency were impeccable. Mr. Prasad was responding to a query whether Subramanian Swamy was making shadow attacks on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
