New Delhi: Four Maoists were killed in an encounter in Dantewada district of South Chhattisgarh today.
One jawan was injured in the firing.
Eight weapons were later recovered from the Maoists.
On Tuesday morning, teams of the District Reserve Guard and the Special Task Force had an exchange of fire with Maoists at Chandameta village on Chhattisgarh-Orissa border. The gun battle went on for about an hour.
A “notorious” Maoist commander was gunned down by the police.
