MYSURU: The investigation into the blast in Mysuru court complex last week will focus on leads available from the two recent blasts on the court premises in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, and Kollam, Kerala.
Police teams from Mysuru have been sent to Chittoor and Kollam.
Speaking to reporters after participating in a passing out parade of women constables from the Police Training School here on Monday, Home Minister G. Parameshwara denied that the probe had been handed over to a central investigation agency. However, the National Investigation Agency and Intelligence Bureau have collected samples from the blast site, he said. Dr. Parameshwara said the Forensic Sciences Laboratory in Bengaluru was also studying the samples.
Stating that no organisation had claimed responsibility for the blasts, he refused to speculate on persons or groups behind the act.
To a question on the impact of the blast on Dasara, the Home Minister said necessary steps will be taken to heighten security for the 10-day festival.
The city police will ensure that security arrangements are in place, he said.
