PM Narendra Modi's first public speech since the Uri attackKOZHIKODE: A day before PM Narendra Modi’s first public speech since the Uri attack, BJP is set to put the terror strike and Pakistan on the table as an “important issue” and assert that more will be done to bring the neighbour to book.

BJP assured that the Modi government will not stop at what it has done in the last few days when it countered Pakistan at the UNGA and launched a harsh counter-offensive against Islamabad’s terror links.

BJP general secretary Ram Madhav said at a presser in Kozhikode, “All important issues will be taken up at the meeting as all top leaders will be here.” With the media eagerly waiting for BJP to address the issue, he said, “You will get what you are waiting for.”

Asked about a statement from BJP on the issue, he said, “Do you want statements or action… there will be action. Aap dekhtey rahiye (you watch out for it).”

BJP chief Amit Shah is expected to take up the issue during his address at the meeting and Modi is also expected to give a speech.
