NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday sent back Sahara chief Subrata Roy to Tihar Jail, miffed over wrong statements on property status given by the group.
The top court also send two other Sahara directors to jail.
SC was livid when SEBI informed the top court that most of the property in the list meant for auction has already been attached by the Income tax department.
SEBI said as properties are attached it cannot sell them.
SC said you have given list of property which are already attached and you are not cooperating. Better you go back to jail.
When Supreme Court asked Sahara to deposit Rs300 crore more for extension of interim bail, Counsel Rajeev Dhawan said it cannot be done and requested for hearing on Sept 30.
