Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said his government is aiming to provide 10 lakh houses in rural and two lakh houses in urban areas under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The Uttar Pradesh CM announced that in rural areas, Rs 1.20 lakh will be given for the construction of a house, Rs 12,000 for a toilet and Rs 15,700 extra to people who would build their homes themselves.
The government shortlisted 5,129 families in urban areas who would be able to avail the benefits.
The people residing in the urban areas would get Rs 2,50,000 – Rs 1,50,000 by the central government and Rs 1,00,000 will be allocated by the state administration.
