Yes I’m Hitler for thieves misusing funds, says Telangana CM

Yes I’m Hitler for thieves misusing funds, says Telangana CM HYDERABAD: A crucial meeting between two warring chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana failed to bring about a change of heart as both chose to remain on the warpath over several issues, including the Governor’s special powers in Hyderabad and the controversial household survey, on Sunday.
There is nothing wrong in being a Hitler for the people’s cause. I would like to be a Hitler for those who want to misuse the government schemes and funds. Yes, I am a Hitler for thieves,” he said after the meeting.

Reacting sharply, Naidu said people were being discriminated on the basis of their nativity, while suggesting that his Telangana counterpart should follow the law of the land.

If they really want to vest the special powers on the governor, enabling him to control law and order in Hyderabad then they must bring in a constitutional amendment,” he added.

Referring to the two letters sent by the Union home ministry reminding the Telanaga government of the special powers given to the Governor, KCR said: “We have said we will not follow the Centre’s directives.”

He said the AP State Reorganisation Act 2014 had just re-iterated the constitutional provisions on the governor’s powers and nowhere had it mentioned about the special powers.

He asked people to be at home on the day of the survey so that actual beneficiaries can be identified. “While it is optional to give the details, those who would not give the details will not be eligible for the government schemes,” said KCR. All shops and establishment would remain closed for the survey with government bus services stopping on the day of the survey, KCR added.
