Railway minister's son faces arrest warrant in alleged rape case Karnataka:  A Bangalore court on Thursday issued an arrest warrant against Karthik Gowda, son of railway minister Sadananda Gowda, after he failed to turn up for questioning  in a rape case.

Karthik Gowda is accused of raping and cheating a Kannada actor. Karthik failed to appear before the police even as the second notice to him expired on Wednesday.

The court also issued a lookout notice for him as his whereabouts were unknown and he did not appear before the police even after the expiry of two consecutive summonses to him.

Karthik was booked for cheating and rape after a Kannada actor alleged that he had married her in private and then dumped her to get engaged to another woman. Both Karthik and his father have denied the charges.
