Renowned educationist, philanthropist, and former Governor of Bihar, West Bengal, and Tripura, Padma Shri Dr Dnyandeo Yashwantrao (D Y) Patil passed away on Tuesday in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He was 90 years old and had been suffering from age-related health complications over recent months, family sources confirmed.
