Top 10 MLAs of Gujarat to Be Honoured at Grand Award Ceremony in Gandhinagar on August 29
Gandhinagar, Gujarat: The 18th Shining India Best MLA Awards – Gujarat 2026 have entered their final stage following the successful completion of a four-month-long independent survey across all 182 Assembly constituencies of Gujarat.
The comprehensive survey was conducted to assess the performance of elected representatives through field-level research, public feedback and predefined evaluation parameters, with particular focus on governance, public service, accessibility, responsiveness and constituency development.
Four-Month Independent Survey Completed Across Gujarat
The extensive survey covered all Assembly constituencies of Gujarat and was designed to go beyond conventional popularity-based assessments.
The evaluation sought to understand the ground-level performance, public connect and development-oriented work of elected representatives through field research and public feedback.
Key assessment parameters included:
- Performance inside the Gujarat Legislative Assembly
- Accessibility and availability to citizens
- Public grievance redressal and responsiveness
- Interaction and engagement with constituents
- Development initiatives and their implementation
- Governance and administrative effectiveness
- Public satisfaction and confidence
- Transparency and accountability
- Overall contribution towards constituency development
The assessment also focused on meaningful work in areas such as Social Welfare, Education, Healthcare, Drinking Water, Skill Development, Rural & Community Development, Roads & Infrastructure, Sanitation, Women Empowerment, Tribal & Community Development and Environmental Initiatives.
Top 10 MLAs of Gujarat to Be Recognised
Following the completion of the four-month survey, the final assessment process will determine the Top 10 Outstanding MLAs of Gujarat for the 18th Shining India Best MLA Awards – 2026.
The awards aim to recognise elected representatives whose work reflects effective governance, accessibility, accountability, public service and a sustained commitment to the welfare and development of their constituencies.
The initiative seeks to highlight leadership that creates a meaningful impact at the grassroots level and strengthens the connection between elected representatives and the people they serve.
Grand Award Ceremony on August 29
The 18th Shining India Best MLA Awards – Gujarat 2026 will culminate in a grand award ceremony scheduled to be held at:

Venue: Town Hall, Gandhinagar
The ceremony is expected to bring together elected representatives, policymakers, public figures, social leaders, corporate representatives, media professionals and other distinguished personalities.

Gujarat has previously hosted the Shining India Best MLA Awards in 2012 and 2017. The 2026 edition marks the 18th edition of the Shining India Best MLA Awards, continuing the organisation’s long-standing initiative of recognising exemplary public leadership and meaningful constituency-level work.
