Gujarat Cabinet Minister and Gandevi MLA recognised for public service, development initiatives and commitment to public welfare
Gandhinagar: Hon’ble Shri Nareshbhai Patel Ji, Cabinet Minister in the Government of Gujarat and MLA from the Gandevi (ST) Assembly Constituency, has been honoured with the prestigious Shining India Best MLA Award – 2026 for his commendable public service, development initiatives and commitment to public welfare.
Shri Nareshbhai Patel Ji was unable to receive the honour at the main Award Ceremony as he was engaged in a public programme in his assembly constituency and was also required to travel a considerable distance. Due to his prior public engagements and the distance involved, he could not reach the venue in time to receive the award.
Therefore, the Shining India Best MLA Award was presented to Shri Nareshbhai Patel Ji today at his office in Gandhinagar.
The honour is part of the 18th Shining India Best MLA Awards – Gujarat 2026, organised to recognise outstanding public representatives for their contribution to public service, development and leadership.
According to the organisers, the recognition followed an extensive four-month ground survey covering all 182 Assembly Constituencies of Gujarat. The survey was undertaken to assess the performance, public contribution and development-oriented work of elected representatives across the state.
The award recognises Shri Nareshbhai Patel Ji’s contribution towards public service, development initiatives and public welfare in the Gandevi constituency.
On presenting the award, the Shining India team congratulated Shri Nareshbhai Patel Ji and extended its best wishes for his continued public service and leadership.
The 18th Shining India Best MLA Awards – Gujarat 2026 brought together distinguished public representatives and leaders to acknowledge their contributions towards the development and welfare of Gujarat.
