Shinde denied to reveal Headley’s disclosure on Ishrat Jahan

Sushil Kumar Shinde1New Delhi: Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde declined to reveal David Coleman Headley’s revelations on suspected terrorist Ishrat Jahan to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday.

The minister said the NIA has not filed any report on Headley’s alleged revelations on Ishrat’s terror links.

Shinde also said that the exchange between the NIA and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Headley’s interrogation details were classified information which could not be disclosed.

Shinde said, “The NIA has not given me any report… Anything that Headley has said is between the FBI and the NIA and we have an agreement not to disclose it.”

David Coleman Headley was Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative.David Headley is a Pakistani American terrorist and spy who conspired with the Lashkar-e-Taiba Islamist organization and Pakistani intelligence officers in plotting the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Since his arrest and guilty plea, Headley has cooperated with U.S. and Indian authorities and given information about his associates. On January 24, 2013, a U.S. federal court sentenced Headley to 35 years in prison for his role in the Mumbai attacks.
