Kolkata: Two explosions had taken place in Malda and Murshidabad of West Bengal on Thursday which leaves two people injured.
The blasts took place as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probes the October 2 blast in West Bengal’s Burdwan district.
Notify that National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing the October 2 blast in Khagragarh in Burdwan district in which two militants were killed.
The first explosion took place in a house in Hatichapa village in Malda district in which two people are injured while the other blast occurred inside a house in Samsherganj in Murshidabad district.
While attempting to remove crude bombs that had been stored, explosion occurred, said police.
Police said, “The blast in Hatichapa village occurred around Wednesday evening in which two people have been injured. Before we could reach there, the injured were shifted. We suspect some more people could be injured in the incident.”
The official said that “anti-socials and criminals who often store crude bombs are disposing them off resulting in such explosions” after the NIA began the probe in Burdwan.
The explosion ripped apart a portion of a house in Samsherganj area but no one was injured in Murshidabad.
Police said, “We are looking into the cause of the explosion.”
