New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the top military commanders of India on Friday. He has arrived at a conference where he is expected give a briefing on the overall security situation and his strategy.
The conference of the Combined Commanders of the three Services is expected to discuss ceasefire violations by Pakistan and developments on China border against the backdrop of fresh firing from Pakistan last night.
Notify that Pakistan has repeatedly violated the 2003 ceasefire along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC) in the past few weeks and India has been retaliating with major force.
After the strong warning of India, there were fears of escalation but the firing and shelling has receded over the past few days.
Chinese troops too had also incursion on border, which cast a shadow on President Xi Jinping’s visit last month.
Air Force chief Arup Raha will be the first to brief PM Mopdi as he is the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee.
Navy Chief RK Dhowan and Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhag will also outline the challenges facing their soldiers.
