New Delhi: Delhi Police is now using drones to carry out the search operations in Trilokpuri area of Delhi. Notify that violence had been broke out in Trilokpuri on the night of Diwali. Police had been also holding the door-to-door searched in the vicinity to check for anti-social elements.
The curfew in the area will be relaxed from 2 to 5 pm on Tuesday.
Meanwhile ex-MLA of BJP Sunil Vaidya is under scanner by Delhi Police. Sunil Vaidya had held a meeting with his supporters in this area on Friday. The violence had been broke out in this area on the evening of Friday after his meeting. Delhi police had demanded the clarification over his meeting.
On Monday, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had demanded for detailed report from Delhi Police on the clashes.
It had been also alleged on Delhi police that they had respond very slowly in this incident after which MHA has sought a detailed report.
Notify that 45 people have been arrested till now and 45 others have been detained in relation to the clashes.
Delhi police had decided to donate a day’s salary for those injured in the riots. Although there was no violence on Monday, curfew remained in force for the fourth day as two incidents of arson were reported on Sunday night.
As many as 19 people were injured in the violence that broke out between two communities. Some families have also fled the area.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Sanjay Baniwal said, “We hope to restore normalcy in the area soon. All measures are being taken and we are extending all possible help to the area’s residents.”
