New Delhi: A student named Akash of Jawharlal Nehru University attempted suicide by slitting his wrist on Wednesday morning inside classroom number 203. He had stabbed by an axe to a 22 year old girl, Roshni allegedly by her lover.
The girl had been undergoing a surgery in Safdarjung Hospital, where she is presently undergoing a surgery. The boy is presently admitted at AIIMS Trauma Centre.
Police said that the incident was reported at 11.15 am. The couple, both of whom are final year students pursuing Korean language at JNU’s School of Languages had an argument. Sources said that the man suspected Roshni of having an affair with someone else. Following an argument, Akash picked up his axe and attacked the girl before slitting his wrist.
