New Delhi: Supreme Court of #India had extended the bail of #AIADMK chief and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa over in corruption case. The apex court on Thursday said that Jayalalithaa had appealed against her conviction in corruption case, will remain on the bail till April.

The verdict that found her guilty of corruption during her first term as Chief Minister in the early 90s ended her third term as the head of the Tamil Nadu government. She was disqualified as a lawmaker and picked loyalist O #Panneerselvam as her replacement.
Supreme Court judges had ordered the politician to ensure that all documents relevant to her appeal against her conviction were filed by mid-December in the Karnataka High Court. He said it while granting her bail.
Decision on the appeal of ‘Amma’ would have been took within three months by Karnataka High Court once all papers were filed.
