Ranchi: A major setback for Jharkhand Vikas Morcha as its six legislators had join Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of Chief Minister of state Raghubar Das.
These six MLAs are Naveen Jaiswal (Hatia), Amar Kumar Bauri (Chandankiyari), Ganesh Ganju (Simeria), Alok Kumar Chourasia (Daltonganj), Ranjit Singh (Sarath) and Janki Yadav (Barkatha).
Notify that JVM had suspended Naveen Jaiswal, Bauri, Ganesh Ganju and Alok Kumar Chourasia from the party on Monday. The party has eight members in the House.
Earlier, the four suspended JVM MLAs and two other party legislators wrote to Speaker Dinesh Oraon to allot them separate seats alongside BJP members in the state Assembly.
The Speaker on Tuesday said, “Six JVM MLAs gave a letter seeking separate sitting arrangement in the House alongside the ruling party members.”
Meanwhile JVM president and former Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi had accused
BJP on Tuesday of trying to poach MLAs from his party and Congress but BJP had denied and rubbish the charges.
