New Delhi: Top Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RRS) leader Bhaiyyaji Joshi met BJP leader LK Advani and other top leaders on Monday. It gives air to the rumors of the decision for the Prime Ministerial candidate. The clamours are growing more and more day by day to declare Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the party’s Prime Ministerial candidate for 2014 election.
Sources claimed that the RSS wants the announcement to be made soon. The RSS also wants Modi to have at least six months to build his campaign as the party’s PM candidate for the 2014 elections. Meanwhile Advani suggests that it would be better to wait till Assembly elections in five states are over.
Sources also claimed that Advani fears that if party present Modi as candidate for PM, it would polarise Muslim votes in favor of the Congress in the coming Assembly elections.
It is also known as National president of BJP, Rajnath Singh yesterday said, “I agree an unfortunate incident has taken place. Who does not agree that it was unfortunate. Attempts were made to blame Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as if the riots were planned by the Chief Minister”. Singh said that it would be unfair to blame Modi for the 2002 Gujarat riots.
