#Mathura : BJP MP Mrs Hema Malini today called Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi ‘bechara’ for opposing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill which, she said, will be good for the country.
“The Congress leader does not want the GST bill passed because he knows it is a good step for the people and would be another feather in the cap of BJP government.. For having this mentality, I would call him bechara,” she told reporters in #Mathura.
A taxation system like the #GST will boost the country’s economy and bring uniformity in the economic front. It will be good for the country and beneficial for the people, she said.
Ms Hema Malini was reacting to Mr Rahul Gandhi’s comment that the Congress will help the #GST bill pass in just 15 minutes once government accepts the conditions set by his party.
“#RahulGandhi is trying to take on a person (PM Narendra Modi) who is doing so much good for the country. He should instead support the Prime Minister and not obstruct the good work,” Ms Hema Malini said.
Ms #HemaMalini termed actor-turned leader Shatrughan Sinha’s recent controversial comments as “personal”.
