#Mathura #Violence BJP Chief Amit Shah demands resignation of  UP minister #ShivpalYadav#Lucknow : Making a sharp attack on SP Chief  Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family over Mathura incident, BJP national president Amit Shah on Saturday demanded resignation of Cabinet Minister Shivpal Yadav. Shivpal is uncle of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and is highly influential in the Samajwadi Party. Amit Shah has indirectly held him responsible for the incident by asking for his resignation.
Addressing a booth in-charge meet of Kanpur and Bundelkhand regions in Kanpur city, Shah in reference to Mathura incident said, “an SP is killed in broad day light. An SHO is killed. More than 200 people open fire on the police with rifles and explosives but minister sitting in Secretariat in Lucknow give patronage to them and does not allow the police to retaliate,” Shah said.
Shah also said that if SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has self-respect, he should immediately ask Shivpal Yadav to resign. “Akhilesh Yadav ji, if you have to maintain relation of chacha-bhatija, you should tell the public that you have no relation with them,” BJP Chief Amit  Shah said.
Amit Shah also said that Mathura incident has defamed UP across the country.
At least 24 people had died including two police officers in Thursday’s clash between the police and encroachers at Mathura’s Jawahar Bagh. The BJP national secretary Srikant Sharma on Friday had said that one of the top six functionaries of SP government had provided patronage to encroachers. BJP has already demanded for a CBI inquiry in the matter.
