Lucknow: Posters declaring Congress president Sonia Gandhi as “missing” have appeared in her Lok Sabha constituency in Rae Bareli.
Dozens of such posters were put up overnight at Gora Bazaar, Mahanandpur and the Government Colony in Rae Bareli.
The posters described the UPA chairperson as “missing” along with “a reward for anyone who can locate her”.
Sonia Gandhi has not visited her parliamentary constituency this year and Rahul has not visited his parliamentary constituency Amethi since February, when he came to canvass support for Congress candidates during the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Earlier this month, posters describing local MP and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi as “missing” had come up in his Amethi parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
The posters, were pasted at various places in the city, carried a picture of Gandhi with a message below it:
“Amethi ke man-niya saansad amethi se lapata hain. (Respected Amethi parliamentarian is missing from Amethi).”
