PATNA: A day after 13 of the 22 legislators of the Rashtriya Janata Dal said split from the party, Lalu Prasad has accused Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar of trying to split his party.
An irrate Lalu lashed out at the chief minister saying, ‘Nitish Kumar has gone mad after divorcing with Bharatiya Janata Party. He has conspired along with speaker to break the party. In fact, this conspiracy could be compared with America’s Watergates scandal.’
Lalu accused Nitish Kumar of offering lucrative posts to his party legislators to create fissures, saying “Nitish Kumar is eyeing RJD legislators and offering them lucrative posts to split the party.”
Lalu said that he has the documents to prove that Nitish is behind the split. I have brought some papers to prove it. The person with whom he had planned the conspiracy was working under me, and now Nitish has made him a speaker, he said.
“Both the Janata Dal-United and the BJP are conspiring to split my party, but I will not let them to be successful in their motives. I have a meeting today with all the party members and I am going to expose them in front of nation,” he added.
