BJP ministers in threat in Bihar

Patna: Ministers of BJP in the Bihar assembly are now facing a terror of withdraw of JD-U with NDA. As after the selection of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as a Chief of Election Campaign, JD-U comes in against of BJP and develops space in between BJP and his party. There is also a gossip of withdrawl of JD-U with NDA and this such a long term alliance is about to finish.

The ministers of BJP preferred to visit their constituencies on Wednesday. While labour resources minister Janardan Singh Sigriwal was at Chhapra, urban development and housing minister Prem Kumar went to Gaya. Health minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey is on the pilgrimage to Char Dham (Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath) while animal husbandry and fisheries resources minister Giriraj Singh was in Gujarat.

The party leaders who came to the state BJP headquarters on Thursday ruled out defection from the BJP to the JD-U and claimed the party would remain united in Bihar. Vinod Narayan Jha, principal spokesman of the party, said, “We are meeting regularly but not to discuss the apprehended split in the NDA. We still want to present a picture of NDA Vs UPA for the next Lok Sabha elections. We are watchful about our legislators too so that there is no poaching. The party would prefer to be projected as a “martyr”. Let them push us outside the government. This will benefit us in the long run. Developments from the other side are enough to suggest there is no scope for return.”

A senior BJP MLA Bikram Kuer said that official did not respond to their problem and their issues about their constituency. He predicted there would be split in the NDA family in Bihar.

“Our ministers are doing their normal work. So long they are in the government, they will perform their duties,” BJP MLA and party spokesperson Sanjay Singh said.

A senior minister from the BJP quota said, “It is a fact that the officers have become indifferent to us. Though we do not want to desert the government, situations are being created to say good bye to us.” The minister said he attended the secretariat to clear pending files. “The future is uncertain, so I have to wish our employees too.”

The party legislators said the JD-U has called its MLAs for an emergency meeting but there is no such invitation to the BJP MLAs.
