Modi went to Uttarakhand to express his sympathies

Lucknow: BJP president Rajnath Singh said in a clarification over the controversial issue of rescue of 15,000 Gujarat natives from Uttarakhand flood affected area by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi that Modi didn’t gave any such statement about rescue. BJP president on Wednesday said in Lucknow that Modi went to Uttarakhand to express his sympathies and it is being said that he evacuated 15,000 Gujaratis from here. Singh said that he himself talked to Modi and he said that he never gave any such statement.

It is also notify that from the day this report had been appeared in an English daily, the BJP spokesperson were praising the commendable job done by Narendra Modi in ensuring prompt rescue of Gujaratis. Fans of Modi on social networking sites also start praising Modi over his “Rambo” style of rescuing.

On Tuesday the spokesperson of BJP Prakash Javadekar also said, “I am unable to understand the controversy over the visit of Mr. Modi to Uttarakhand. Besides him several other Chief Ministers had visited the State hit by a disaster.” Javadekar also defended the action of Modi on the ground that he performed his duty as Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Meanwhile after the realization of parochial and other connotation they quickly went on offensive suggesting that a section of the media was bent on attacking the Chief Minister for everything.
