: Gujarat CM and BJP election campaign committee chief Narendra Modi may hand out the campaign responsibilities to BJP leaders on Thursday. He may give responsibilities after consulting with BJP President Rajnath Singh. The parliamentary board of BJP which is made up of its top 12 leaders will meet this afternoon and an announcement on election duties for the BJP’s general secretaries and office-bearers is expected thereafter.
Modi is heading the party’s election campaign committee, met with Rajnath Singh last night to discuss work allocation and issues on which the BJP should take on the ruling Congress. Opposition Leader of Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley was present at the meeting.
On Tuesday evening, Modi had flown to Nagpur for a dinner meeting with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat to discuss internal party dynamics and election strategy.
Modi also met with former BJP president Nitin Gadkari at the airport, who was later spotted driving a two-wheeler to the RSS’ Nagpur headquarters to meet Sangh leaders.
