Santosh Lal, famous for helicopter shot in Ranji, passed away

Ranchi: Cricketer Santosh Lal, close friend of captain of Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni had been passed away on Wednesday after battling pancreatitis. Lal was a former Ranji player. He was admitted in Guru Nanak hospital in Ranchi after complaining unbearable pain in his stomach on July 12. There was a problem of acute pancreatitis. Lal’s body has been taken to Lady Hardinge hospital for autopsy and will then be flown back to Ranchi.

Santosh Lal was the same person who had been credited by Dhoni for his helicopter shot. Santosh used to execute the stroke in Ranji Trophy Match. Lal was working with Railways.
