Andhra CM decline invitation of Digvijay SinghHyderabad: Andhra Pradesh CM N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had declined the invitation of general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Digvijay Singh to attend the discussions on the selection of party candidates for Rajya Sabha elections on Friday.

Notify that Andhra CM had managed its distance from Congress after the decision of 30 July which stated the division of state. He had informed Digvijay Singh that he could not attend the meeting as the debate on the crucial Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill was in progress in the Assembly.

He had skipped the AICC meeting held in New Delhi on January 17 on similar grounds. That the Chief Minister was in no mood to heed the high command’s plea was clear when he made light of the summons.

Asked by reporters in the Assembly after the House was adjourned whether he was going to Delhi, Andhra CM said to media on a question in the Assembly after the House was adjourned whether he was going to Delhi, “Abhi Delhi bahut door hai. (Delhi is far away).”
