Congress MPs use pepper spray and knife over Telangana issue Vijayawada MP L Rajagopal used pepper spray and TDP MP Venugopal Reddy also brandished a knife inside the House as soon as Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde introduced Telangana bill in parliament.

Speaker Meira Kumar is having problem in breathing and Sushma Swaraj was also injured after Pepper spray was sprayed by MPs.Some MPs has been taken into Ram Manohar Lohia hospital. Congress MP Vinoo Pandey is among those injured.

The ruckus created led to adjournment of the house. Three MPs including Vijayawada MP L Rajagopal used a pepper spray forcing Lok Sabha to adjourn as some Andhra members fight in the Well and all the three have been taken in an ambulance for medical aid.

Union Minister Kamal Nath said I will recommend strongest possible action against the members to the Speaker and it is a big blot on parliamentary democracy. Union Minister Rajiv Shukla said “Strong action will be taken against erring MPs as it was an attempt to “kill” members.

Both pro and anti Telanagana protesters are protesting outside Parliament .Delhi Police were caught unaware after hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Parliament.

The Parliament House complex has been turned into a fortress after a Congress MP allegedly threatened to set himself afire over the proposal to divide Andhra Pradesh to create Telangana.Clashes are taking place between pro and anti-Telangana protesters outside parliament.

The CRPF and Delhi Police forces have been deployed in greater numbers to ensure no untoward incident happens within the premises of the Parliament area. All Seemanadhra ministers except for two are protesting against the introduction of the Bill in the well of the House.Four Seemandhra MLAs of the Congress – Adala Prabhakar, Sridhar Krishna Reddy, R Suryaprakash Rao, B Satyanand Rao – have also resigned protesting against Andhra bifurcation.
Members in blindfold shouted slogans and held lacards forcing both houses to adjourn Fire extinguishers and blankets are being kept ready for any untoward incident happening in the Parliament.

Expelled Congress MP Lagdapati Rajagopal has threatened that he will not let the Congress succeed in introducing the Telangana Bill. The government won’t succeed in introducing the Bill. It’s a minority government which has failed to listen to its own ministers. Wait and see what we can and will do,” he said.

As per the plan, Telangana will comprise 10 districts while the rest of Andhra Pradesh would retain 13 districts. Hyderabad is to be the common capital for both states for a period not exceeding 10 year.

Government had already taken the President’s nod for introduction of the Bill in the Lower House after initially planning to table the Bill in Rajya Sabha. The Government decided to go ahead with bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh not withstanding the state Assembly’s rejection of the Telangana Bill.

The Telangana issue continues to rock both Houses of Parliament and virtually no business was conducted in the extended winter session that began on February 5. The pro-united Andhra Pradesh employees of the state and others would organise a dharna in New Delhi on February 17 against the proposed division of the state.

The sit-in at Ramlila Maidan is likely to be attended by about 15,000 employees and other united AP supporters. Special trains would be arranged to ferry them to the national capital, Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers (APNGOs)

Association President P Ashok Babu told reporters in Delhi. He said they have invited Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and leaders of other
parties like CPI(M) and YSR Congress (YSRCP) to the event.
