New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actress Nanda Nanda passed away at her residence at Versova in Mumbai on Tuesday morning following a heart attack. Nanda was well known for her acting in ‘Gumnam’, ‘Hum Dono’, ‘Joroo Ka Ghulam’, ‘Ittefaq’and many others.
The last rites of this veteran actress will be held today in Mumbai. Nanda made her acting debut back in 1956 with her uncle and celebrated filmmaker V Shantaram’s ‘Toofan Aur Diya’, and worked with actor Shashi Kapoor extensively. Both Shashi Kapoor and Nanda appeared in 8 films including ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile.
