Narendra Modi gives a dos and don'ts list to his ministers, top 10 Priorities for a New IndiaNew Delhi: New Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got cracking on the road ahead for his government. Sources have said news channel that Modi could outline his government’s policies through an address to the nation soon. The government will list its top ten priorities on today, said report.

Modi has asked his ministers to be careful in terms of appointing people in their staff especially to ensure that no relatives are appointed. Sources say that Modi is keen to give out a message that he doesn’t believe in dynasty or promoting relatives.

The Modi Cabinet will meet for the second time in 48 hours on today. On the agenda is finalising dates of the Parliament session. Sources say that the first Cabinet meet on today had cleared a central ordinance on the Polavaram Irrigation project, which merged seven mandals of Telanagana into Seemandhra.

Prime Minister Modi also met PMO officials on today and directed that priority must be given to issues raised by the states.

The Modi government is also dealing with fresh controversy over some decisions taken. The government was forced to promulgate an Ordinance to smoothen the way towards appointing Nripendra Misra as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.

“It’s strange that on the very first day, Narendra Modi has bypassed his own Cabinet to move an Ordinance to appoint Nripendra Misra as his Principal Secretary,” Congress leader Ajay Maken said.
