New Delhi: Due to failure and defeat of Congress in the Parliamentary elections of 2014, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, the anger and dissent simmering against him in the party. Congress leaders are now criticizing Rahul Gandhi for his inaccessibility. Sources also said that party leaders are blaming on Rahul Gandhi for his coterie style of working.
Congress leaders, however wants Priyanka Gandhi to come forward and become the face of Congress. Sources claimed that many Congress leaders have proposed that only Priyanka Gandhi can be a match for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah.
However, senior Congress leader AK Antony came put in Rahul’s support. He said, “It is totally wrong to blame Rahul. It’s a collective responsibility. No Congress man would blame Rahul.”
Sources said that some leaders within the party also feel that Rahul has increased the divide between senior and new guard of the Congress. His NGO style of functioning has also been criticized.
