Police arrested school Chairman for trying to destroy evidence in Bangalore rapeBangalore: Rustom Kerawalla, Chairman of the Bangalore school in which a six-year-old girl was raped, had been arrested by Bangalore Police on Wednesday. He has been arrested under Section 201 of IPC which is destruction of evidence and Section 23 of Juvenile Justice Act.

Bangalore Police Commissioner MN Reddi said that he has been arrested from Daman and Diu. He failed to ensure safety for child and refused to share information.

It had been the second arrest in this case. Police had firstly arrested to skating instructor of the school for committing rape with the girl.

A heavy protest had been taken place after the incident in Bangalore where parents of several schools, ABVP activists and other had widely criticize the delayed in action against the school management and for the justice.

The incident had happened on July 2 and the complaint was lodged on July 14, while the first arrest came six days later.
