Advani, Joshi, Vajpayee dropped from BJP's parliamentary boardNew delhi: The BJP today  dropped senior leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Atal Behari Vajpayee from the parliamentary board, the party’s highest decision making body. According to a report, party president Amit Shah has instituted a Marg Darshak Mandal for the senior leaders in the party.

A release uploaded on the party website said that Narendra Modi, AB Vajpayee, LK Advani, MM Joshi and Rajnath Singh would be a part of the mandal. Reports also suggest that Shivraj Singh Chouhan and JP Nadda were included in the Parliamentary Board.

This comes in the backdrop of reports that the ruling party, after not appointing any veterans in the council of ministers, would now not include them in the Parliamentary Board as well.

The BJP’s Parliamentary Board includes the party president and ten other members, one of whom will be leader of the party in Parliament. According to CNN-IBN one of the general secretaries are usually appointed as the secretary of the parliamentary board.
