China agrees to withdraw troops from LadakhNew York: China agrees to withdraw its troops from the Line of Actual Control (LAC) of Ladakh after it met with its counterpart of India Sushma Swaraj in United States.

Notify that External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had raised the issue of Chinese incursions into Indian territory across the LAC with her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Wednesday during their meeting in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The government of China had been agreed to withdraw troops from the Line of Actual Control. China said that it will withdraw troops by September 30.

After meeting Swaraj Said, “I am happy to tell you that both nations have sat down and resolved the (border-standoff) issue. Timelines have been decided.”

She also said, “There will be withdrawal of troops from 26th and by 30th everything will be over. Whichever positions were earlier occupied by the armies, they will go back to those positions.”

Swaraj said somewhere a “shadow” of the border incident was cast during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to New Delhi this month even though the visit in itself was “very historical” and very good outcomes came from it.
