Jaipur: Kalyan Singh, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh had been swear-in as the 20th Governor of Rajasthan on Thursday. The ceremony had been held at Raj Bhawan in Jaipur in presence of Chief justice of Rajasthan High Court.
Chief Secretary Rajiv Mehirshi read out the warrant of appointment issued by the President before the ceremony.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal and senior officers had been presented at the occasion.
Enthusiast party workers shouted slogans ‘jai shree ram’ and ‘vande matram’ when Singh was taking the oath. He was also given a guard of honour.
