Andy Rubin, co-founder of Android to leave GoogleCalifornia: The co-founder of Android mobile business and head of Google’s robotics effort, Andy Rubin is leaving Google.

Google had made an official announcement on Thursday about Andy Rubin.

In an emailed response for comment on WSJ, Google said that Rubin will start a company to support startups interested in building technology-hardware products. Google said in an emailed response for comment on a Wall Street Journal report about his move.

Google said that James Kuffner, a research scientist at Google and a member of the robotics group will replace Rubin.
