Google plans to launch mobile chat application

googleNew Delhi: Software giant Google is planning to launch a mobile messaging application that might be on the lines of popular app WhatsApp, as reported by English daily.

The application will be launched in India and other emerging markets soon. It will compete with other popular apps such as Line, Hike, WhatsApp and others.

The app is said to be in the early stages of development and is likely to be launched by 2015.

Earlier, Google had offered $10 billion to buy popular instant messaging service WhatsApp which was ultimately bought by social networking site Facebook.
