New Delhi: A senior Delhi Police official posted with the elite Special Cell was severely assaulted today allegedly by three persons including a woman and a juvenile in a case ofroad-rage in South Delhi’s posh Lodhi Estate area.
According to reports, the attack appears to be a case of road rage.Meanwhile, three people were held in connection with the attack on the ACP. An FIR was also lodged against the three nabbed.
The attack on the ACP comes days after a constable was shot dead in the national capital.
All the three attackers were detained and taken to Hazrat Nizamuddin Police station.this is the third incident where policemen have been attacked in the city in the last one week.
On Monday, a constable was gunned down in Vijay Vihar area of Outer Delhi. In another incident on Saturday, three alleged criminals had opened fire on two Delhi Police constables in busy Connaught Place area.
