New Delhi: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is likely to file his nomination papers for Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh on Monday. He was accompanied by Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
The former Goa chief minister flew down to Lucknow yesterday, shortly after being sworn-in as a Union Cabinet minister in Narendra Modi’s Council of Minister and was given.
While talking to reporters, Parrikar said that he was fortunate to represent UP in Rajya Sabha polls and would fulfil whatever responsibility is given to him. Rajya Sabha polls in UP are scheduled to be held on November 20.
