New Delhi: Security agencies are on high alert as Prime Minister Narendra Modi to addresses two rallies in the most Naxal-infested district of Jharkhand Palamu on Friday.
Heavy security is being put in place for PM Modi’s two rallies in state.
Notify that PM Modi had returned from a three-nation tour this morning. He will fly to poll-bound Jharkhand tomorrow to take part in election campaign.
Rallies had been scheduled at Daltonganj and Chandwa in Palamu district.
Intelligence Bureau’s report had claims the Naxals in collusion with the outlawed Indian Mujahideen terror group may target the prime minister there.
The report of IB also says that the Naxals and IM may target the PM at the rally grounds or on the roads leading up to the venues in a joint operation.
