Two detained in Dhanbad for wearing t-shirt with ISIS printed on itDhanbad: Two people had been detained for questioning in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand for wearing T-shirts with “ISIS Pakistan” written over it.

ISIS, now known as Islamic State is the hardline Sunni Muslim group that has gained control over large parts of Iraq and Syria.

The men were spotted wearing the T-shirts at a procession during Muharram. Police took the trio into custody after their photos were published in the media.

Superintendent of Police Hemant Toppo said that a man who painted the logo and the Pakistani flag on the T-shirts was also questioned and there were no terror links found during the interrogation.

Meanwhile no FIR has been filed so far.

Another boy is not being named as police suspect he is a minor aged 16 and was seen wearing the t-shirt at the Muharram procession on Tuesday. Since then, the Intelligence Bureau as well as Jharkhand police’s Special Branch had interrogated him.

DSP Sindri Ramashankar Singh said, “He told us that he was going to perform a skit to show how we should resist ISIS and Pakistan. He said he does not have any connection to either of the two.”
