New Delhi: The Chief Minister candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi had accepted the challenge of Aam Aadmi Party chief and former CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday as Kejriwal had challenged her for open debate.
Kejriwal on micro blogging site Twitter, tweeted, “Congrats 4 being nominated as BJP’s CM candidate. I invite u 4 a public debate moderated by neutral person n telecast by all (sic).”
In the response of Kejriwal’s tweet, Bedi accepted his challenge but added that will only debate on the floor of the House. She said, “I accept his challenge. I’ll take him on a debate on the floor of the house. He believes in debate and I believe in delivery. I’m here for good governance.”
Kejriwal also took a jibe on Bedi saying that she had blocked him on Twitter, “Kiranji, i used to follow u on twitter. Now, u have blocked me on twitter. Kindly unblock me (sic).”
Bedi had again respond over the tweet of Kejriwal and said, “I blocked him more than a year back when he was spreading negativity. I blocked him because he was using unparliamentary language. I do not want my followers to be subjected to such a language.”
Notify that Kiran Bedi will contest from Krishna Nagar constituency which was the constituency of Union Minister Dr. Harshvardhan. Elections in National Capital will held on February 7 with counting on 10 February.
